Hello crafty friends,Welcome to today's blog hop featuring the Taylored Expressions Butterfly Wishes Kit. I love the butterfly stencil and stamp combo which makes creating beautiful backgrounds super easy.I have created two cards today which are very different from each other in terms of colour and technique.
For this card I used the BUTTERFLY WISHES CARD KIT.I used the TE blender brushes to ink blend a few TE premium inks to create an ombre rainbow effect.To begin I used the stamp first and with TE oreo Ink stamped the body of the butterflies. Stamping prior to stencilling helps me to align the wings easily. This is a two step stencil set and you can change the colours of the wings very easily but I just wanted to keep it same.I trimmed the inked pannel and matted it on a TE Oreo cardstock and then on to a white A2 card base. I finished the card with a sentiment from the set and used a circle die to cut it out. I used one of the envelope seals for the butterfly mounted on the sentiment.

For the next card I followed the same steps by heat embossing the butterfly bodies first on TE Blue Corn Premium card stock. I used TE Gold Embossing powder. I also heat embossed a butterfly and a sentiment for the card. I used the TE Blue Corn ink to ink blend the butterfly wings which gives this card a very unique tone on tone effect.I love how the gold pops on this dark coloured cardstock. To add more interest I added few gold paint splatters this makes the card more cohisive and pretty.
